I believe it is important to find ways to make the world a better place. That can be done through volunteering, advocacy, monetary donations, etc. But I find it an honor and a responsibility to support those who have identified ways to benefit their communities and want to act upon it.
My nonprofits practice includes providing assistance to nonprofit organizations with their formation and operational matters. This includes advising on the drafting of organizational documents and IRS filings, as well as subsequent operational and business matters, such as forming a strong working board of directors.
I have worked with a broad array of nonprofit organizations, ranging in topics from AIDS support, advocacy for midwifery and breastfeeding, youth sports projects, community support, educational theater, music education, and election reform. I also understand that new nonprofit organizations may not always be well-funded at the start, so I am always prepared to accommodate new nonprofit clients on billing arrangements.
